Open Weave Basket Making, Virtual Workshop
Pull up a seat and experience the magic of making a basket with your own hands from the comfort of your home in this virtual workshop with Carleigh Fairchild.
You’ll learn how round reed can be woven into an open basket, great for holding garlic in the kitchen, being a cord caddy, holding keys, or your imagination is the limit for its use.
No specialized tools or equipment needed, just a knife, hand pruners, or utility scissors.
We’ll create one basket about 4x4x5” to keep the learning simple and focus on the experience and knowledge. Once complete you can check it off your list of things you’ve always wanted to do, or go on to make more baskets with the knowledge of how to do it simply and efficiently.
